| Practical Project Management Program |

General Overview: Practical Project Management program is designed as a 13 days / 3 weeks program, with about 2 months between each week. All sessions are about equal mix between the concepts and the practical sides. In short, we cover the key concepts and you will have a chance to immediately apply them in the class under the supervision of our top consultants. This program is designed for all industries and to professionals and managers working on projects from all level. This means that in the program we could have various levels in the same class and this is good for cross learning.
(KA11) PPM 1 (week 1): Overview of PM Framework and Project Initiation The first week of the training program actually consists of two SUKAD courses that we merged together. The main topics that are covered in this 1st session are: Overview of the PM Framework, PM Processes, Product Life Cycle, PM Life Cycle, Organizing the Project, PM Areas of Expertise, Stakeholders. In addition to the overview we cover the processes required to initiate a project, including: developing the project charter document, developing the project preliminary scope statement, and developing a high level plan.The above highlighted the key concepts that would be addressed in this 1st session of the PPM program but that is not enough. We have allocated significant amount of time for discussions, planned Q&A, individual and group exercises, in addition to case studies and "real life stories" about past projects from the program leader/facilitator.
This course is 5 days - 35 hours / PDU (for PMP)
(KA02) PPM 2 (week 2): Developing the Project Management Plan The second week of the training program covers the details of developing a project management plan or THE PROJECT PLAN. The main topics that are covered in this 1st session are: "Framing the Plan" – Integration, developing the project scope statement, schedule, cost estimate and budget, defining the quality requirements, defining the various roles and responsibilities and communication requirements for the project and finally managing risks and the procurement/contracting process. As in PPM1, the above highlighted the key concepts that would be addressed in this 2nd session of the PPM. We have allocated significant amount of time for discussions, planned Q&A, individual and group exercises, in addition to the case studies and "real life stories" about past projects from the program leader/facilitator. By the end of this session, the participants would leave with a workable project management plan for a project.

(KA12) PPM 3 (week 3): Project Implementation and Control In PPM 1, we introduced the dynamic field of project management and learnt how to properly launch a project. In PPM 2, we developed the detailed project management plan that would be the basis for us to execute (implement) the project and to monitor & control project performance. The third week of the training program covers project execution, along with monitoring & controlling, and closing the project. The main topics that are covered in this 3rd session are: Directing and managing the project work, monitoring performance against the project baselines, taking the necessary actions to try and stay close to the plan, and dealing with changes. In this session we will learn about Earned Value Management, Project Control, Managing the Team and Stakeholders, controlling project risks, administering the contracts (if any), Managing Project and Scope Changes.As in PPM1 & PPM2, the above highlighted the key concepts that would be addressed in this 3rd session of the PPM. Here again, we have allocated significant amount of time for discussions, planned Q&A, individual and group exercises, in addition to case studies and "real life stories" about past projects from the program leader/facilitator. By the end of this session, the participants would leave with a workable knowledge, tips, and techniques to manage the project.
